Little known Kaduna born forward Donatus Edafe has put pen to paper on a three year deal with Slovenia side ND Gorica, where he had successful trials last year.
18 year old Donatus last represented Mighty Jets of Jos in the Nigeria National League (NNL) , where his all action style of play earned him the nickname Obafemi Martins, due to similarities in his style of play with that of the former Inter-Milan star.
He is a childhood friend of Gent of Belgium forward Moses Simon and last season top scorer in the Nigeria Professional Football League Godwin Obaje of Wikki Tourist, and they all started their careers at local side Moderate Stars FC.
Gorica now have two Nigerians on their books in Bede Osuji and Donatus, further more Owngoalnigeria.com gathered that the deal was brokered by former Nigeria International Bennedict Akwuegbu.
