Ebuehi Speaks – Why I Said No And Later Yes To Playing For Nigeria

Dutch Nigerian full back Tyronne Ebuehi has for the first time spoken out on his decision to opt for Nigeria after initially turning down the chance to represent them.

Ebuehi was called up by Nigeria for the World Cup 2018 qualifiers tie against Algeria, but the 20 year old full back turned down the invitation despite initially agreeing to play in the game.

Eligible to play for Netherlands and Nigeria, his initially refusal to honour the call up by Nigeria lead to talks about a potential snub of the Eagles for the Dutch national team.

However after coach of the Nigeria national team Gernot Rohr confirmed he has agreed to play for Nigeria against Senegal in a friendly tie. Ebuehi has revealed why he now wants to play for Nigeria.
