The Nigerian duo of Anthony Nwakaeme and John Ogu were yesterday crowned champions in Israel after helping Hapoel Beer Sheva to a 4-1 win over Kiryat Shmona in the final of the Toto Cup.

They were both on for the entire duration of the game which earned Ogu his third title with the team since joining them three years ago.

In Turkey Musa Muhammed made another start for high fliers Istanbul Basaksehir in the Turkish Cup lasting the entire duration of their 2-0 win over Goztepe, a sign of progress even though he is yet to make a league appearance for the team 18 months after joining them.

Still in Turkey, Hungarian-Nigerian defender Kenneth Otigba was one of the star performers for his side Kasimpasa in their 3-1 cup success over Inegolspor in another game played yesterday.
