The eye catching performances of Rivers United newly signed left full back Gabriel Wassa has reportedly caught the attention of coach of the Super Eagles Gernot Rohr.
Wassa joined Rivers United this season from fellow Nigeria Professional Football League side Niger Tornadoes, and he has grown into one of the first name on the team sheet of the CAF Champions League campaigners in their pre season games.
Owngoalnigeria.com gathered that Rohr was briefed about his performance against Villarrreal B where he stood out, shortly after impressing in the annual Nigeria Super Four tournament in Enugu.
He is expected to be given a chance to impress the coach during the friendly game against Egypt in January, and his performance in the game will reportedly go a long way in determining his inclusion in further games.
