Former Nigeria U17 and 20 captain Kelechi Nwakali was among the best players for his loan side MVV Maastricht as they recovered from losing their lead and going behind to beat Fortuna Sittard 3-2.

On loan from Arsenal till the end of the season, the 18 year old won the spot kick from which his side took the lead in the 29th minute, after he was upended in the box after a strong run.

He twice came close to scoring with efforts that brought out strong saves from the opposition goalkepper as his side pushed to put the game to bed.

Nwakali lasted the entire duration of the game, bossing and dictating play from his role on the left side of midfield for his team who ran out 3-2 winners, and remain top of the second division table in Holland.
