English Premier League side Watford have made a decision on Godswill Elohor Ekpolo after a two week trial, where he played in games for the U-23s of the team.
Elohor who captained Barcelona U-18s three seasons ago, was released by Barcelona after 11 years without a single first team appearance for the Catalans.
Omitted from Nigeria bronze medal winning U-23 team of the Rio 2016 Olympics. He first had trials with Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers but failed to bag a deal.
His latest trial with Watford ended last week and club sources confirmed that the 20 year old wasn’t offered a contract, despite posting impressive performances in two of the test games he played for the U-23s.
Highly rated during his formative years, the right full back was reportedly told his fate last week and has since returned back to Spain, where his family are based.
