Former Nigeria Under-17 trainee Jason Akiotu picked up an assist as Crystal Palace U23s power their way to a 3-1 win over their Hull City counterparts in a Premier League 2 clash.

Akiotu who had trials with Leicester City towards the end of last season recently signed professional terms with Crystal Palace, a sign of the fate the club has in his abilities.

Neat and tidy in possession. He put up a very good show which he capped in the 48 minutes with a lovely cross which was turned in by Jonathan Benteke, who had his elder brother Christian Benteke watching from the stands.

18 year old Akiotu trained with the Nigeria Under-17 team of 2015 in Abuja but reportedly left after just one training session before the team departed for the Africa Youth Championship.
