EXCLUSIVE: Liverpool Trialist Jacob Njoku Joins Israeli Side

FC Porto youth trainee Jacob Njoku has put pen to paper on a one year deal with the option of another with Israeli top division side Maccabi Pekta Tiva after a 10 days trials, Owngoalnigeria.com understands.

19 year old Njoku played for Al-Orooba of the UAE last season and recently spent time on trials with Liverpool alongside three other Nigerians in Chidera Ejike, Christian Eze and Suleiman Abdullahi.

Liverpool were reportedly said to be interested in the left footed teen who also spent time with the youth team of FC Porto but they went cold on plans to loan him to Sint Truiden of Belgium forcing the forward to try his luck in Israel.

Prior to moving to Israel he was training with Nigeria Professional Football League side Kano Pillars who were said to be weighing up a move for him before the deal from Israel came on board.
