Coach Samson Siasia of the Nigeria U-23s who has suffered the disappointment of not having some of the foreign players he would have wanted to have in his team for Rio 2016 has listed the players who have been released to feature for the Nigerian team at the Olympic.
Speaking to Owngoalnigeria.com correspondent Siaone like the former Nantes midfielder is fondly called listed 23 foreign based players who have been cleared by their team to play for Nigeria at the Olympics.
Siasia mentioned the likes of Chippa United’s goalkepper Daniel Akpeyi and newly promoted Portuguese side CD Feirense duo of goalkepper Dele Almapasu and Oghenekaro Etebo with AS Roma Sadiq Umar also named among those given the all clear by their club to feature at the Rio 2016 Olympics for Nigeria.
