Korea 2007 U-17 top scorer Macauley Chrisantus might return to Spain this summer with La-Liga hopefuls, Real Oviedo keen on his services.

25 year old Chrisantus who is out of contract in the summer has been frozen out of the first team set up at Greek side AEK Athens this season despite firing them to promotion in his first season with the team.

During the January transfer window, Chrisantus refused a transfer to Ponferradina of Spain who are presently in same division with Real Oviedo as he prefers to move on as a free agent in the summer.

Real Oviedo are presently third on the log in the second division in Spain and are pushing for promotion to the top flight which could motivate Chrisantus to make up his mind about a move.

The former Hamburg of Germany forward is no stranger to life in Spain after spending two years with Las Palmas in the second division where he scored 20 times during his time there.

He moved to Turkish Super lig outfit from Las Palmas on a free transfer but left again six months later after falling out a favour following the sacking of the coach who brought him to the team.

Now in the final months of his 18 year contract with AEK Athens, he turned down the option to extend his contract with the high flying Greek side who are second on the log before the start of the season which didn’t go down well with the management of the team.

Manager of the team Roberto Di Matteo although a fan of the Nigerian has made it clear to the forward who has only one goal this season that he is only focus on players who have future with the team.
