Forgotten Super Eagles forward Joseph Akpala scored in KV Oostende’s home stalemate with Zulte Waregem which ended 3-3.
Akpala gave his side a 2-0 lead in the fifth minute for his sixth goal of the season but just when it looked like they were sure to run away with all three points, Zulte Waregem scored twice in three minutes as both team went into the half time break tied at 2-2.
29 year old Akpala was substituted with ten minutes left to play in the encounter that saw two more goals scored in the second half, one apiece for each time.
The results didn’t change the fortunes of the teams on the play off log with Oostende still fifth on the six team table while despite the one point gained Zulte Waregem still stay rooted to the bottom of the log.
