Patrick Friday Eze rescued his Qatari side, Al Fujairah from defeat against Al Shabab with a late equaliser as Al-Fujairah scored twice in the 89th and 90th minute to snatch a 2-2 draw.

Eze’s goal came on the dot of 90 minute, one minute after Hassan Maatouk reduced the deficit to 2-1 for Al-Fujairah who were two goals down until the 83rd minute.

The goal was his 11th of the season from 21 games but his first in four games after going close to a month without scoring.

Friday Patrick Eze spurned numerous offers to take his game to any of the top European sides last summer after emerging as the top scorer and best player in the Serbia top division league with Mladost Lucani and opted to sign a lucrative financial deal with UAE based Al-Fujairah.

However his goals have hardly translate to points for the team who are presently occupying the 13th spot with three more game to go before the season comes to an end.

Al-Fujairah need to win at least two of their remaining three games to stay in the top flight and even that might not be enough if 12th place Emirate fail to drop points from their remaining four games.
