After seeing the two changes made by the interim coach of the Super Eagles to his starting line up for the game against Egypt in Alexandria, our game experts shares his thoughts as to why the changes were made.

1. AMINU UMAR FOR KELECHI IHEANACHO

In a game where Nigeria intend to play with high tempo, Aminu Umar all round style, non stop running and energy is much needed than the goal scoring abilities of Kelechi Iheanacho.

Iheanacho is deadly within the opposition half or box but Umar can be effective in Nigeria’s half as evident in the first leg where he provided cover for the middle men and was also quick in moving the ball to the opposition half.

2. VICTOR MOSES FOR MOSES SIMON

This has to do with goal scoring because for all of the abilities of Moses Simon he hardly gets into goal scoring positions like Victor Moses.

Simon loves to drive at opponent with the ball at his feet while Moses can do same he also has an added advantage in the sense that he is adept at making runs behind opposition defenders which gives him an edge when it come to goal scoring and creating chances.
