The Nigeria Football Federation will later today name a new coach for the Super Eagles following the resignation of head coach Sunday Oliseh last night.
Oliseh took the NFF by surprise by tendering his letter of resignation 8 months after he was appointed as coach citing uncondusive working environment and plans to sack him after the CHAN championship.
He accused the NFF of approaching frenchman Herve Renard who turned them down citing obvious reason his move threw the NFF into confusion as it comes with just over three weeks before Nigeria take on Egypt in an all important qualifier,

NFF we gathered are set to name his replacement today and Nigeria U-17 world cup winning coach Emmanuel Amuneke who was recently promoted to the U-20 was yesterday contacted to gauge his interest in the job.
Already NFF head of technical committee Barrister Chris Green has said Amuneke will be ready to coach the Eagles in two years time but it appears that might come a little bit sooner.
However owngoalnigeria.com gathered that members of the technical committee of the NFF are however favourably disposed to the idea of Samson Siasia handling the team as the present U-23 coach is not new to the National team set up.
Siasia is presently in Abuja getting set for Nigeria U-23 friendly clash against Brazil but he might be required to step up to the Super Eagles later today if talks are favourable to him and the NFF.
