In a letter addressed to the Secretary General, the club that prides itself with producing players like Elderson Echijiele of Monaco and transfered Isacc Success of Granada dismissed Abia Warriors claims of owning the 20 year old.

Also they requested for the NFF not to release the International Transfer Certificate of the player to any team as they the bonafide owners of the player are not in talks with anybody not even Club Africain of Tunisia.

Their present stand as gathered by owngoalnigeria.com will frustrate any effort or plans of Club Africain to illegally transfer the player whose passport they have seized to stop him from returning to Nigeria under the guise of applying for a work permit for him.

The letter signed by Douglas O. Idahosa, chairman and founder of the team explained Obanor’s one year rental fee of 500,000 Naira due to them is yet to be paid by Abia Warriors even after the expiration of his loan.
