Club Africain of Tunisia are struggling to meet BJ Foundation valuation of Nigeria U-23 defender Erhun Obanor who is valued at $500,000 by the Benin based team.

Obanor has already passed his medicals but yet to sign a contract despite agreeing to a 3 and half year deal with the Tunisian giants.

After BJ Foundation brought documents (published by owngoalnigeria.com) dismissing Abia Warriors claims of owning the player talks between them and Club Africain was held but with no conclusion yet.

“We got a call from Club Africain saying they are willing to pay $50,000 for Obanor and we bluntly told them it’s $500,000 or nothing else” A source told owngoalnigeria.com

“They promised to get back to us but up till now we have not heard anything from them and as a matter of fact they renegade on promises made to the player”.

Our source said they accepted to pay Obanor sign on fee in one fell swoop but later backtracked by saying they will pay it in three different installments and they also broke promises made to the player on his salary.

Owngoalnigeria.com gathered Obanor negotiate a salary of $10,000 per season only to be told it will be $5,000, a situation which made the 20 year old asked to return back to Nigeria.

However his wish to return back has been made impossible by Club Africain who are currently holding onto his passport with claims they submitted it for him to be offered a work permit.
