Manager of SC Cambuur have told FC Twente to forget about signing 31 year old Nigeria forward Bartholomew Ogbeche this January.

Owngoalnigeria.com had reported Twente’s interest in the Nigeria striker who was at the 2002 world cup as a replacement for another Nigerian Michael Olaitan who left the team for Kortrijk in Belgium.

However their hopes of luring the striker has taken a big hit with SC Cambuur manager Henk de Jong emphatically stating they will in no way sell their prized assest to a direct competitor as both teams are battling to avoid relegation.

“Any bid that comes for Ogbeche must go the way it came else I will knock them out” He told FOX Sports jokingly.

De Jong was however serious that Ogbeche who has 34 goals for Cambuur since joining them in 2014 which includes 9 this season won’t be sold to a team separated from them by one spot and three points at the basement of the table in Holland.

Much travelled Ogbeche will be out of contract in the summer with many of the opinion the Nigerian will stay till the end of his contract before walking away as a free agent in the summer.
